Stimulating, Structuring and Supporting Writing Through Drama
Using practical examples of drama structures that have produced successful writing outcomes, this course will develop your confidence in the use of drama as a methodology for stimulating, structuring and supporting writing. You will develop a repertoire of drama techniques and strategies that work with primary pupils as well as an underpinning philosophy enabling you to plan your own active learning experiences.

Drama Across The Curriculum
A session of pick-up-and-use drama games and activities including still images, teacher in role, hot-seating, ten-second objects, thought-tracking and visualisation. These strategies are designed to meet statutory drama and literacy objectives. The session includes an opportunity to apply the approaches to current curricular themes.

A practical course demonstrating the use of drama techniques to motivate, engage and challenge children across the primary age range. You will learn how to structure drama experiences to develop oracy as well as to stimulate writing and develop thinking skills. The course will leave you with a repertoire of drama techniques and strategies that work in the primary classroom.
