The Ballad of Mulan
The Ballad of Mulan is a popular traditional Chinese narrative poem. It tells the story of brave Mulan who took her elderly father’s place in the army and fought disguised as a male soldier throughout the war. This short play brings The Ballad of Mulan to life through stylised movement, simple dialogue and choral speaking. It is a faithful retelling of the ballad and would make a beautiful and effective presentation of the story.
